Client Testimonials

I have three Airbnb listings in Brooklyn. Maid First handles all of them. They're reliable, fast, and my guests always comment on how clean the apartments are. My ratings went up after I hired them.

I was managing my Airbnb myself for a year and the cleaning was killing me. Handed it off to Maid First and never looked back. They handle same-day turnovers without any drama.

My listing in Midtown has back-to-back guests almost every weekend. Maid First has never missed a turnover. They show up, they clean, and the place is always ready on time.

Questions Vacation Rental Hosts In New York Ask Us All The Time
[Placeholder]
What neighborhoods in New York City do you serve for vacation rental cleaning?
We clean vacation rentals in all five boroughs – Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Our busiest vacation rental areas are Manhattan neighborhoods like Midtown, SoHo, Chelsea, and the Upper West Side, along with Brooklyn neighborhoods like Williamsburg, Park Slope, and DUMBO. But we also serve hosts in Astoria, Long Island City, Harlem, Inwood, and everywhere in between. If your listing is in New York City, we can get to you.How does pricing work for vacation rental cleaning in New York – do you charge per hour or per job?
We charge per job, not per hour. That means you know your cost upfront and our team isn't watching the clock when they clean. The price depends on the size of your rental and the type of cleaning needed. A studio turnover is going to cost less than a full deep clean on a 3-bedroom. Call us at (212) 920-7872 and we'll give you an exact quote in a few minutes. Can I share access to my Airbnb calendar so turnovers are scheduled automatically?
A lot of our hosts do this. We work out a communication system with you – some hosts share their calendar link, some send a weekly schedule, some just text us the night before. We adapt to whatever system is easiest for you. Hosts with high-volume listings in neighborhoods like the East Village or Bed-Stuy often share calendar access so we're always ahead of the next booking without them having to do anything. Is summer or a specific season the busiest time for vacation rental cleaning in New York?
Summer is the biggest season – June through August is when New York tourism peaks and most Airbnb hosts see their highest occupancy rates. We see a big surge in vacation rental cleaning requests starting in late May across the whole city. Spring is also busy because a lot of hosts do their deep clean and property refresh before summer bookings kick in. If you're planning to ramp up for summer, it's worth getting on a recurring plan now before our schedule fills up.What if my guest leaves the apartment in really bad shape – can you still handle it?
Yes. We've walked into some situations after guest stays in New York that required more than a standard turnover – heavy messes, moved furniture, food left out, the works. For anything beyond a standard turnover, we assess the condition and let you know if a deep cleaning is needed before we start. We'll give you an updated quote on the spot. We've handled post-guest deep cleanings in apartments all over the city and we don't walk away from a tough job.
Can you do same-day vacation rental turnovers in New York City?
Yes, same-day turnovers are something we do regularly – especially in high-demand neighborhoods like Midtown, SoHo, and Williamsburg where check-out and check-in windows are tight. The key is giving us as much notice as possible, even just the night before. We build our daily schedule around booking calendars, so the earlier you connect with us, the easier it is to lock in your window. How do you handle the linen changeover for vacation rental cleanings in New York?
We work with whatever system you already have. If you keep linens at the property, we strip, replace, and bag the used linens for laundry. If you use a laundry service or drop-off, we can coordinate that too. A lot of hosts with multi-unit buildings in neighborhoods like Hell's Kitchen or the Financial District use a linen rotation system and we plug right into that without disrupting your flow.I have an Airbnb in a co-op building in Manhattan – are there any rules I need to know about that affect cleaning scheduling?
Co-op buildings in Manhattan – especially older ones on the Upper West Side or on Park Avenue – often have strict move-in/move-out and vendor access hours, usually between 8am and 5pm on weekdays only. Some co-ops also require that outside service workers be registered with the building management or carry insurance documentation. We carry full liability insurance and can provide certificates to your building if needed – just let us know when you book.Does New York City's short-term rental law affect whether I can use a vacation rental cleaning service?
New York City's Local Law 18, which took effect in 2023, requires hosts to be registered with the city and to be present during guest stays for short-term rentals. This is about hosting rules, not cleaning services. Using a professional vacation rental cleaning company is completely legal and has no effect on your registration status. If you want to know more about Local Law 18, the NYC Mayor's Office of Special Enforcement has information on their website. How do you handle bad weather days? New York winters can make getting around really hard.
New York winters are no joke – ice, snow, flooded subway stations, the whole thing. We build buffer time into our schedules on bad weather days and always communicate early if something is going to affect our arrival time. For hosts with back-to-back same-day turnovers during storm season, we recommend building a slightly longer buffer into your check-in window if possible. We've been doing this long enough in New York to know how to work around the MTA on a bad snow day.
